In 2011, Joseph was a part of planting a church in Austin, Texas which not only changed him, but also led to him having the opportunity to baptize both of his parents.

Since their marriage in 2014, Emily and Joseph have been serving together in ministry for over 10 years, bringing their shared passion for serving others to every aspect of their lives. From their very first date, Emily and Joseph knew that church planting was in their future and in 2022 they felt a clear calling from God to begin the work of planting Story Church.

Joseph has been involved in vocational ministry since 2009 when he felt a calling to lay down his own plans in order to reach people far from God. Over the past 15 years, Joseph has served in a variety of pastoral roles, including pastor to students, college, small groups, and as a teaching pastor. Emily has been an elementary school teacher for the last 6 years, and has a passion for mentoring students and young women.

Joseph and Emily have been working with a team of people in Northwest Houston to plant Story Church. Their goal is to remind people far from God…
